WHY IS IT CALLED A HAMBURGER?

It's believed it all started with a Hamburg steak which was a dish native to the city of hamburg of chopped raw steak, imported into the USA at the beginning of the last century. The Hamburger took its name from this dish ending up in a bun and seared at the World Fair of 1904.
