Today is #NationalBurgerDay, we thought we would give you a great recipe for a great tasting #epicburger patty, try it on your BBQ :

The 51st State Burger

Makes 4 burgers (approx 8 oz each or 8 4 oz)

800g Rump Steak Coarsely Minced or Hand Chopped the best you can buy

100g Marrow Bone 

1 1/2tsp Smoked Paprika

1tsp Mustard Powder

 


Rub Burger

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

2 tsp Onion Powder

Salt & Black Pepper to taste 

Method: Take the marrow bone and with a spoon scoop out the soft delicious centre, then finely chop, add to the minced rump, then add the spices and salt and pepper and get your washed hands stuck in and mix it all together thoroughly, then form into four thick patties or 8 thinner quarter pounders. Place on a tray and chill for 1 hour. 

Once set, cook either in a frying pan with a little beef dripping or on the barbecue to your liking. Serve in a toasted brioche bun with your choice of toppings, American Cheese, Blue Cheese, Lettuce, Dill Pickles, corn Dog!!!!,Fried Onions, Slaw, Any Pulled Pork to hand etc.
